The School of Design (hereinafter referred to as the School) of Southern University of Science and Technology was established in December 2019 with the approval of the Council of Southern University of Science and Technology. Relying on the discipline characteristics and innovative education mode of the University of Southern Science and Technology, combining the creative design industry foundation and technological advantages of Shenzhen and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the School sets up a forward-looking, interdisciplinary and innovative discipline direction, and builds a scientific research transformation system. To cultivate world-class design talents with design theories and skills, interdisciplinary knowledge, design ethics, social responsibility, innovation ability and entrepreneurial spirit.

The School has established an integrated talent education system for undergraduate, master and doctoral degrees, and is oriented towards the future needs to build a system of interdisciplinary integration, science and education integration, and industry-education integration. The School has formed a highly international and interdisciplinary faculty. The professors come from China, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Italy, South Korea, and their academic background covers architectural design, interaction design, product design, materials, audio and video, education, sociology and other disciplines.       南方科技大学创新创意设计学院（以下简称学院）于2019年12月由南科大理事会批准成立。学院依托南科大学科特色、创新教育模式，结合深圳及粤港澳大湾区创意设计产业基础及科技领域优势，设立前瞻性、跨学科创新学科方向，搭建科研转化体系，培育具备设计理论与技能、跨学科知识素养、设计伦理、社会责任感、创新能力、企业家精神等特质的世界一流设计人才。
