职位：讲席教授、院长
讲席教授，现任南方科技大学创新创意设计学院创始院长。他于2005年分别获选为亚洲计算机辅助建筑设计研究协会会士及英国皇家特许测量师学会会士, 2021年获选为英国皇家艺术学会会士。历任墨尔本大学副校长（校园与国际发展）及建筑、设计与规划学院院长，悉尼大学建筑、设计与规划学院院长及香港大学建筑学院院长。任职墨尔本大学期间，筹建了墨尔本设计学院并设立多个大型跨学科研究项目。他在墨尔本大学、埃因霍温理工大学、武汉大学、西安交通大学、新加坡科技与设计大学及新南威尔士大学担任或曾担任名誉及顾问职务。
关教授以其在设计、设计学习、数字环境、设计管理及虚拟遗产方面的开拓性研究而享誉国际。他是LEaRN（学习环境应用研究网络）的联合创始主任，该网络提供关于学习及建筑的多学科研究。他也是AURIN（澳大利亚城市研究信息网）的创始主任，该网络开发了一个全国性的城市数据数字基础设施，以支持研究和决策。他在学术、专业及大众渠道发表论文200余篇，并担任权威期刊编委。关教授在开放大学获得建筑学博士学位，在加州大学洛杉矶分校获得建筑学计算机应用硕士学位，在剑桥大学获得硕士及学士学位。
