Abstract:

With the rapid development of AI technologies, there is a growing demand for participatory design and interactive spatial experiences, which reflects the modern society's quest for personalised and customised solutions in the design process. The application of interactive technologies enables spatial experiences to respond to user behaviour and preferences, creating more personalised and immersive experiences that enhance user satisfaction and engagement, and revolutionise the way we live and work in the future. The combination of AI and technology is making us rethink the boundaries of immersive interaction.

Introduction of Speaker:

Dr. Sky Lo Tian Tian is a Hong Kong-born Singaporean appointed as Assistant Professor in the School of Design in Hong Kong Polytechnic university. Dr. Lo’s research explores spatial ‘phygital’ interaction and the relationships between virtual and physical spaces, through transdisciplinary methods that combine design, virtual reality technologies, gamification and digital tools. His research emphasizes multi-level sharing and collaboration from basic data to deep intelligence using Mixed Realty technologies to enhance interaction, knowledge transfer and foster innovation in the design process. His research has used the IoT and virtual visualization to advance different interactive fields and open up the potential for future hybrid interactive experiences and to advance Human-VR Interaction (HVRI).
